For nearly 8years, I have been a huge fan of Jazmine. I used to travel from college just to hear her live at Black Lily at the 5 spot. I remember the first time hearing her sing, I stood dumbfounded, watching this bright baby come onto the stage smiling then kill the crowd softly, as she sung her rendition of "My Life" and "A Womens Work". I remember having goosebumps and tearing up as she sung. My chapter sister, with her heavy Bahamian accent smiled and said, "Dat gal a gon be sumtin. She fourteen and a singin like dat." Lol!
